Miami beach

Miami and Miami Beach are two totally different cities. Situated on the outer bank is Miami Beach. It is almost tourist orientated and consists of mainly apartments and hotels. Miami is located on the mainland and is a cosmopolitan city with an Latin American flavour.

The art district of Miami Beach occupies a one square mile area which is roughly between Alton Road, Ocean Drive, Sixth Street and Lincoln Road.

In Miami Beach the language that is often spoken is Spanish although, English language is used quite a lot especially when dealing with the government and any type of business.

For almost a century now Miami Beach has been one of America’s pre-eminent beach. Miami Beach is a barrier island that has been connected to the mainland by bridges.
